Our 2019 first annual fall brunch was held at the Waterloo Gun and Bocce Club. Guests were greeted with bottomless mimosas and the smell of Chef Paul Ratto’s fresh baked muffins and focaccia. What a treat! The morning turned to a lively afternoon as guests mingled, laughed, and dined to live jazz. The highlight of APL’s Fall brunch was, hands-down, our Humane Hero Award program. We were thrilled to recognize three very worthy honorees: Ryan Carter, owner of Carter’s Pet Mart; Lisa Whirlow, owner of Whirlow’s Tossed and Grilled, and Leslie Edman, Executive Director of the Central Valley Asian-American Chamber of Commerce. It was a perfect day for giving thanks!
