Our Team

Who we are and what we do

The Animal Protection League supports animals most in need in San Joaquin County and is committed to reducing dog and cat populations.

We will be opening a FREE/Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic & Wellness Center - a first-of-its-kind for San Joaquin County - in early 2024.

Mission: Creating a long-term solution by advancing animal welfare through education, providing resources for animal well-being, and low-cost/free spay and neuter for the dogs and cats of our community.

Vision: We envision a community where all dogs and cats are treated with respect and kindness and where affordable care allows animals to stay with their owners while providing a disease and cruelty-free life.

Values: In fulfilling its mission and vision, Animal Protection League undertakes activities that have these goals:

  • Solution Driven - Focus on preventing overpopulation, suffering and abandonment through proactive services such as spay/neuter.
  • Educating - Work to change the overall cultural climate of its community through education and advocacy services that promote animal welfare.
  • Diligent - Provide pet guardians with the information and physical resources they need to have healthy, loving relationships with one another.
  • Compassion - Foster cultural values of compassion and kindness by opening people's hearts to the healing presence of companion animals.
